Lake Haltern is one of the loveliest destinations in the western Münsterland: plenty of water, nature and calm, and easy to reach from Recklinghausen. Easy to combine with a stroll through Haltern's old town or an ice cream on the lakeside promenade.
What you can do at Lake Haltern

- ●Cycle a loop around the lake, the shore paths are lovely for riding and strolling.
- ●Unwind on the shore, with a picnic or an ice cream.
- ●Enjoy the sunset over the water, a beautiful sight from the bank.
Getting there and parking
From Recklinghausen, Lake Haltern is an easy drive, plan for about 25 minutes. There is parking near the boathouse at the lake. Just enter „Bootshaus Niehues, Aalweg 11, Haltern am See" into your navigation.
